Fantastic February!!

There are times when one is really happy…happy without any reason. All the excitement and the happiness just shows up on the face. This might sound a little childish but for me happiness surely comes in packets as I always say. The smallest of things can make my lips curl.
The last few weeks have been like a roller coaster ride; it has been a little this and a little that of everything which made my fantastic February!! (Fingers crossed, hope march proves to be even much better)

While writing I realized I have this erratic habit of getting struck to something whether it is a song, some drink I recently liked and sometimes people too. From last two and a half hour I have been listening to this song again and again just because I’m in love with it…*kar chalna shuru tu from a Bollywood flick.
Now getting back to my perfect February, it started with the wonderful road trip, I have ever been on with some surprises and of course a perfect company :)
Then there were the hostel birthdays or the birthday sprees…one after other, imagine it was a cake day almost every day. Going to the nearby market for getting the party arrangements done and hogging on the golgappas (they are my second love…first one of course being the Kashmiri Rogan josh)
Then suddenly while sitting with my friends in college canteen, popped up this thought that within few months we all would be done with our college, so we decided everyday should be a new adventure!!
Though every new day is as bright as the morning sunshine but we still decided to add our extra spice to it. Thronging to the road side Dhabas, leaving a movie just before the interval, an amazing fun trip, dancing like mad’s even in middle of people and everything has been too good along with my Toefl results. God has been kind!
All the crazy college fun, those demented times, the hostel merriment and of course the perfect company of pals, what else could have made my February “the perfect one”!!

It is 10 at night..

Here I pop up…in my world…in my space…within my squares.
Though, I’m not yet done with my semester exams but the end seems approachable. This one month of complete seclusion from blog meant *me being away from myself!! I wasn't cut off from the social network but nothing can beat the ties I share with this space, the love I have for all the silly and well thought out stuff I write ;)
Recently, I visited somebody’s blog and believe me there was something about it which arouse a sense of delight in me. In his words: Imagine standing on top of the world and shouting out loud so that the whole world could hear you...expressing what you feel and what you believe...
I realized this really makes sense, all of us like to be heard. We all yearn for attention, after all we are humans. We all aspire to have an edge over others and create our own destiny. Now that, this is the final year of my graduation studies this thought does cross me what it would be like four years henceforth. Would it be the way it has been with my elder siblings? They studied, worked and got married. In words of people around me: they are well settled. Probably this is how it goes in the Kashmiri families (Sorry for the poor pun, every second person here is bitten up either by a medical or an engineering bug!!)
I know I’m no different from others but still I’m different in my own way. I have my thoughts and emotions, my likes and dislikes which are my babies. I can sometimes be too very indifferent for things and sometimes get too very involved.
From last few days there has been a slight change in my routine (I know this is a little hard to digest because if you are putting up in hostel there is nothing like routine…you get up when tired of sleeping, you eat whenever you see anything edible, you sleep when you have nothing to do and you study only when it’s your exam, the very next day) but then this new change has been pretty refreshing. Imagine early morning, cool breeze, foggy surroundings and you all decked up in woolens going for a jog with your pals…feels life!! You actually feel alive. The entire day you have this big smile of achievement on your face as if you have done something big.
Now, that I'm going back home in few days I would indeed miss all the morning fun. But then it has been months since I have been home and had all that mouth watering home cooked food. (Rogan josh, Yakhni, Dumoluv and Al Hach…they just taste heaven!)
In between all this I remember I need to rearrange my stuff in wardrobe and put things in bag. I will miss my friends here, but then I will be back within few weeks and now that it's the last semester of our graduation studies...we all are riding high on the Emotional quotient!!
